A Message To Graduating Entrepreneurs

If you've been following our blog, you know that our posts are inspired by awesome entrepreneurs. This one is no different. We met with Scott Stirrett, Founder and Executive Director of Venture for Canada. We chatted with Scott, back in November where he told us more about Venture for Canada and his role which is to mobilize recent grads as entrepreneurs.

Which brings us to this question:

Are you an aspiring entrepreneur who's on the brink of graduation?

You might be experiencing some anxiety about what your next steps should be.

We know it isn't easy, leaving the comfort of your campus. After all, it's your home away from home. The place where you spent the last X number of years making friends, connections, building cool things with cool people. But... now what?

If you're looking where to go next, we've got a suggestion *something that can get you very excited*

Just as excited for the Legacy Conference, this April 1-2nd, where we have cool startups and founders speaking, like David Segal from DavidsTea, Shopify, CEO/Co-founder of Frank & Oak, and more.

Venture For Canada

What is it?
Glad you asked:

  • You apply to get recruited
  • Once you're in you're assigned to a Startup
  • Who you'll work for (for 2years)
  • "After two years, you'll have the skills and network to tackle any challenge"

Exciting right?
BUT, how does it all work?

While you’re at it, why don’t you just hop over to their website?

The application deadline is soon, so here's another link

So to all you soon-to-be graduates, what are you waiting for? APPLY NOW

Here's a quick look at a few of their partner startups:

“We’re building a full community of young people who are really passionate about entrepreneurship and Venture for Canada. Our fellows can go on to create a sustain and really drive the country into economic prosperity”
— Scott Stirrett
